This is a full time Director position based in our Silicon Valley office. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you’ll do:
As AlixPartners scales its software portfolio, AI and data will play a pivotal role as step-change technical capabilities in our solutions that address client challenges in innovative ways. In this role as Director of AI Platform Product Management, you will apply a deep understanding of AI's potential to solve business challenges by identifying, validating, and prioritizing high-impact AI solutions across the product portfolio. You will also identify and deliver centralized, horizontal AI capabilities that serve multiple applications across the firm, ensuring they are easy-to-integrate, scalable, and aligned with the latest advancements in AI technology. This requires balancing specific use cases with robust technical platform design. Keen stakeholder management will be essential as you define platform requirements, align diverse business and technical teams, and shape the product roadmap to ensure the delivery of scalable, user-centric solutions drive business growth and customer value. As Platforms team continues to scale, you will also play a key role in shaping the organization’s growth, culture, and operational processes to ensure long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
Application of AI technologies:
- Identify opportunities to make step change improvements in our existing product portfolio with AI.
- Identify and build horizontal AI capabilities that can deliver value to multiple products in the portfolio.
- Work with Solutions Leads on the Partnerships team on build vs buy opportunities for each AI capability we want to leverage.
- Keep abreast of the latest AI technologies and how they are successfully being applied to business problems.
Maintain a Strategic and Commercial Focus
- Decision-Making Ownership: Leverage data-driven insights to evaluate ideas and make informed go/no-go recommendations, balancing technical feasibility and business value.
- Take a holistic view of the opportunity space, and work with business and technical stakeholders on priorities, clearly aligning teams on the ‘what’ and ‘why’.
- Commercial Focus and Market Insight: Continuously assess market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities and guide product strategy toward business outcomes, e.g. revenue growth and market differentiation.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Research and prioritization: Conduct customer research and prototype testing to identify and validate innovative product opportunities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Strategic Roadmap Planning: Define and prioritize features based on impact, feasibility, and user needs. Maintain a clear, actionable roadmap aligned with organizational goals and timelines.
- End-to-End Product Delivery: Oversee the entire product development process, including sprint planning, backlog management, and release coordination, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
- Performance Optimization: Define and track key performance metrics. Analyze data and user feedback to optimize product performance and drive iterative improvements.
What you’ll do:
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in technical product management or a related role, with a successful track record of delivering complex technical solutions to market.
- Strong technical background, with knowledge of AI, data, APIs, and cloud platforms, software development methodologies, web technologies.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving business outcomes and customer value.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.

Analytical mindset, with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Experience with product analytics and user research is a plus.
- Project management skills, including experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.

Proven leadership skills, including inspiring and motivating cross-functional product squads towards a common goal.

Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related science field preferred.

The salary range for this role takes into account a number of factors and is between $170,000/year - $400,000/year with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
