THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Digitalisation Manager to build and lead a core team of developers and analysts, responsible for automating processes and overseeing the implementation of all required systems and tools as cornerstones of the local IT architecture (both externally supplied and in-house solutions) - such as CRM, Billing, Pricing, Portfolio Management and Dispatching tools. This role will require close collaboration with management, MET Group stakeholders and local IT suppliers.

Job Description

In this role, you will be expected to perform the following tasks

  • Project planning and execution: Develop detailed project plans (including RFP/RFQ phases), schedules, budgets and resource allocation. Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure that projects remain within scope, schedule and budget.
  • Continuous improvement: Continuously evaluate and automate workflows, using lessons learned to improve team efficiency, collaboration and projects outcomes.
  • Budget and resource management: Manage the project budget, control costs, track expenses and manage invoicing and cash flow. Secure and optimise resources, manage and coordinate cross-functional teams according to project needs and objectives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Provide updates, understand requirements and manage expectations throughout the project.
  • Team Building: Support all the requirements of the business IT environment by covering the management of both externally and internally developed projects with the help of experienced developers and analysts selected according to your needs.
  • Sprint Planning & Execution: Facilitate sprint planning sessions to define sprint goals and backlog items. Ensure team understanding and commitment to sprint objectives. Oversee sprint execution and timely delivery of user stories.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks early, develop mitigation strategies, manage escalation of issues. Adjust schedules or resources to keep projects on track.
  • Performance Reporting & Documentation: Maintain project documentation (user stories, sprint plans, progress reports, meeting minutes) and ensure it is accessible to all stakeholders. Track project metrics and provide performance updates to the team.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with organisational policies, regulations and standards, and manage governance processes.
  • Quality Assurance & Satisfaction: Ensure that deliverables meet required quality standards, project objectives, stakeholder expectations and deliver value. Facilitate testing (system/integration testing) and validate products against objectives.
  • Change Management & Post Launch Support: Oversee post-launch activities such as troubleshooting and performance monitoring. Ensure that training is delivered and that necessary changes are documented, communicated and approved by relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics school, Masters degree or equivalent.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a project manager in the digital space, including managing RFP/RFQ processes. Energy retail knowledge is a strong plus.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills to deal with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in agile project management methodologies.
  • Technical background e.g. architecture, integrations, coding is a strong plus.
  • Strong understanding of digital tools and platforms (e.g. CRM, billing, ERP) and knowledge of collaborative software (e.g. Salesforce, Azure DevOps, Jira).
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without losing sight of important details.
  • Collaborative skills to work with cross-functional and international teams.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges that arise throughout the project lifecycle.
