Job Details
We handle more than 50,000 ready-to-move units that fly around the world transporting medicine. These need to be managed efficiently.
You will be supporting Packaging Fleet Management (PFM) department in their daily operational work maintaining the PFM Inventory database up-to-date. You will help to manage our Inventory Management System (IMS) of our Multi-Use Packaging (MUP) Fleet ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.
You will be responsible for understanding both department needs for data analytics, reports and dashboards and available big data tables from historical activities and produce periodical and ad hoc analytical assessments, reports and dashboards to support the operations and improvement of department business.
The Packaging Fleet Management Data Analyst works closely with the Operations, Master Data Management (MDM) Team, BI Team, Analytic Effectiveness Team and the Packaging Fleet Management operators.
Responsibilities:
- Keep MDM updated with activation of new MUPs and deactivation of Sold, Lost, Damaged MUPs or Returned loggers.
- Support to create Internal Guidelines and Training Materials for the operation of the IMS.
- Develop an understanding of the tables and data available at the Data Warehouse and relevant for Packaging Fleet Management functions.
- Develop ad hoc reports and analyses for the department and Proof of Concept of reports to be produced by BI
- Build detailed models of the business under review and developing other bespoke analysis to support the projects
- Summarize findings verbally, by email or in PowerPoint
- Support the functions with data based insights to the network to support process changes and behaviour improvements
- Produce reports and dashboards to track business and operations trends and support decision making
- Develop ad hoc analysis to support senior management decisions
Education and work experience:
- Bachelor's degree in fields such as business administration, Math, statistics, computer sciences, engineering or similar vocations.
- Likely to have a minimum of 1 years of directly related responsible experience in a similar role.
Skills and knowledge:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
- Experience of working with large datasets
- Experience with developing analytic solutions or utilizing complex data (e.g. reporting, visualization, modelling, coding)
- Experience of relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server or Access) and data management
- Experience working with Alteryx Designer, Power BI, Smartsheet (beneficial)
- Experience with other coding language or BI tools desirable
- Strong analytic mindset and intellectual curiosity
- Good communicator: able to explain analysis to a non-expert audience
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to keep one eye on the wider business context.
