This role will develop event revenue strategies for our digital sales initiatives. The Digital Sales Strategy Manager will build strategic campaign initiatives and scopes of work for current and prospective clients, work closely with sales teams and clients and support business development. This role is responsible for influencing revenue, expected to participate in sales calls, shorten the sales cycle and identify revenue opportunities across our brands, which include events associated with Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Access Atlanta, UATL and other similar brands. The position will work closely with internal stakeholders, which include but is not limited to, newsrooms, marketing, product and sales teams, to maximize our audiences and revenue potential. The position will collaborate with peer strategists and sales management to develop and implement digital product and packaging training. The strategist will assist the strategic account management team in the onboarding of new clients.
Job Duties and Job Tasks
- Implement go-to market strategies, partner on presentation creation and champion initiatives. 15%
- Using creativity, audience research, customer and product knowledge, the Digital Sales Strategy Manager will collaborate with the sales team with presenting and closing new and existing customers. 50%
- Collaborate across departments to maximize products, audiences, and inventory levels. 15%
- Prepares and conducts product training sessions in collaboration with Sales leadership. 10%
- Improve Sales knowledge base by creating and sharing case studies, POVs and attending and presenting at seminars/conferences/webinar summaries as needed. 5%

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years experience in digital sales or marketing . The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years experience in digital sales or marketing.
- Deep working knowledge of media concepts, terminology, media math and media plan execution with high digital IQ.
- Understand aspects related to Google Analytics, Display/Video/Audio Native Advertising, Social Media, and Email Marketing.
- Ability to collaborate cross departmentally, including with internal/external customers/peers/vendors.
- Self-motivated, ambitious and excited to take initiative, and capable of working independently and with a team.
- A problem-solver, analytical thinker.
- Success in closing new business accounts and upselling existing clients.
- Skilled in organization and prioritization of work and following assignments through to completion.
- The ability to multitask and have a "do what it takes" start-up attitude.
- Ability to work well under pressure with deadlines - strong sense of urgency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power Point, Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication skills are a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in marketing, project management, advertising preferred.
- Client needs analysis experience is a plus.
This position includes a commission of up to 30% of base salary.
USD 78,400.00 - 117,600.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $78,400.00 - $117,600.00. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the salary range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $0.01.
