Job Description:
Job Family Definition: Refer to the sub-family description (e.g., Sales Managers, Networking & Executives, Inside Sales, Presales Consulting) below the management-level definition of the Workday job profile.
Management Level Definition: Manages staff activities to solve business/technical issues within policies. Oversees exempt individual contributors/supervisors. Accountable for program results in cost, direction, and people management. Guides process improvements and aligns changes with business strategy. Plans and monitors staff activities, recruits, and develops team members. Typically reports to MG2 or Director.
Additional Criteria: Manages activities within a single country or sub-region. Oversees 4-15 direct reports. Span of Control guidelines may vary.
Sales Managers:
- Leads the sales team to success, aligning with the company’s vision and strategy.
- Inspires the team to exceed goals and drives growth and profitability.
- Recruit, develop, and retain talent, adapting the team to maximize performance.
- Manages major customer engagements, resolves escalations, and drives a hunting mentality.
- Engages with customer executives to build trust and deliver HPE’s value proposition.
- Coaches teams on technical, investment, and pricing strategies. Partners with stakeholders to enhance efficiency and customer success.
- Establishes sales methodology, manages planning, and ensures execution.
- Provides accurate sales forecasts and feedback.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Leads and inspires the sales team, manages strategy, and ensures high performance.
- Customer Intimacy: Manages major engagements, builds trust with executives, and drives early-stage opportunities.
- Managing the Business: Establishes sales processes, manages planning, and provides forecasts and feedback.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strategic Leadership: Aligns team with HPE’s vision, leads through change, and develops talent.
- Customer Care: Builds long-term relationships, understands HPE’s portfolio, and stays updated on industry trends.
Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5-10+ years in sales with a track record of progressive success, and consistency in overachieving sales quota. Proven experience mentoring and leading sales teams
- Personality: Energized by making others better; inspires and builds the team. Ability to coach team members effectively. Acts as a buddy and contributes to the success of others. Focused on developing team members’ careers..
- Language Proficiency: Dutch, English (bilingual), French will be considered as an asset.
