The Product Manager position offers the opportunity to support our internal and external customers within SBD. This opportunity will provide a great deal of company-wide exposure and professional growth. In this role you will support projects that will bring an enterprise-wide application of analytics and data science to drive business value throughout SBD.

Working with peers in product management, you will be responsible for:

  • Creation and ownership of the product business plan development, including product line definition and offering to meet the company's sales and margin objectives.
  • Lead the marketing and business planning process that includes working with cross-functional colleagues and directing product development and marketing personnel, establishing accountability and profitability parameters, and defining objectives and short- and mid-range action plans for growth.
  • Develops the product line strategy through planning sessions with key internal and external stakeholders, defining product positioning requirements to meet company profit objectives and brand positioning.
  • Define, create and launch new and existing products that provide innovative customer solutions and that enhance the company's profit and sales objectives

Responsibilities

  • Translate and execute business strategy into product strategy (product vision) 
  • Drive action throughout the organization to get products to market to ensure optimal product portfolio
  • Plan and execute product launches (track product releases and cataloging status with customers)
  • and maintains the product catalog up to date and the necessary product training for commercial teams
  • Manage product profitability and understand competitors product positioning providing insights on key differentiators and product portfolio strategy to the organization.
  • Support the commercial team on product presentations with customers and follow up on product issues and questions.
  • Collaborates closely with Product Owner and the Regional Team to shape and contribute to product strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market needs understanding end user insights, product positioning in the category and product segmentation.
  • Articulates and communicates the product vision effectively to cross-functional teams and stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding and commitment to the product's direction.
  • Translates the product roadmap into actionable product features and user stories, ensuring that the backlog is well-defined and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Balances business priorities, user needs, and technical feasibility to prioritize the product backlog, effectively managing risks and trade-offs.
  • Assesses and monitors the overall health and performance of the product, making informed decisions to drive its advancement and success.
  • Solicits and synthesizes customer and internal feedback to drive iterative improvements and inform the product roadmap, leveraging lean validation techniques and user research.
  • Manages feature dependencies and orchestrates product releases, ensuring seamless delivery and alignment with business timelines.
  • Fosters open and frequent communication within the team, remaining responsive to in-person interactions and creating an environment conducive to collaboration and feedback.

Required skills and Qualifications

  • Strong category understanding and experience on product management
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in leading Agile product development processes, with the ability to integrate OKRs into the product development framework.
  • Solid understanding of business functions and common data sources / models e.g., Sales, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing including predictive maintenance, Operations including supply chain, sourcing and logistics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Acute strategic and analytical skills
  • Ability to influence and persuade, drive and energy
  • Strong teaming skills, collaborative style and commitment to continuous professional growth
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Marketing Business or equivalent.
  • Experience in advanced required or alternative relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with on various projects and teams while interfacing with business stakeholders to ensure value delivery
