Job Title: SketchUp DevOps Senior Engineer
Location: Brasov - Romania or Romania - Remote
About the Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both DevOps practices and security standards. This role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and monitoring systems while ensuring robust security measures are in place.
The successful candidate will be providing operations and DevOps services for SketchUp cloud applications and development teams. They will also be expected to take on responsibility for monitoring that security policies are being adhered to and reconfiguring systems or raising tickets for the development team as appropriate to ensure robust security measures are in place.
The role will involve working closely with the engineering manager to understand priorities and refine tickets for the entire DevOps team, establish and refine processes and ensure they are well documented, and consider alternative approaches on their merits including future maintainability.
This will involve working on several disparate systems with different teams in Europe and USA with a view to being part of a follow-the-sun operations support model, so there will be some flexibility in working hours to allow for scheduling meetings with these teams.
The position is located in Romania, working with engineering teams in Romania, the United Kingdom and Central USA (UTC-7).
Required Skills/Experience:

6 years of experience as DevOps Engineer or in a similar role;

Linux System administration

Proficient in AWS ecosystem

Production deployment/monitoring

Confident communicator in English, both written (in online chat tools, email and documentation) and spoken (for video calls).

Kubernetes;

Familiarity with security standards (e.g., ISO 27001);

Scrum methodology.
Experience/Aptitude:

Interested in learning new technologies outside their existing experience;

Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on security;

Flexibility to make shifts in working hours to accommodate teams across other time zones, and to provide on-call support out of working hours on a rota basis.
