Purpose of the job
The primary purpose of this job is be responsible for space planning, preparation of specification of products, creating 2d and 3d drawings, isometric views, take off’s and pricing for projects local & globally, produce accurate, quality drawings and specifications by clearly understanding issues, needs and desired outcomes. Supports all A&D Application related needs of clients within agreed upon time parameters. Sees projects through entire Design Process. Supports Sales Team as a resource for design and is instrumental in the success of new pursuits for the region
Specific responsibilities
Provide support to sales through space planning design for clients.
Participate in meetings with costumers / architects during the design stage & should be capable of understanding client’s/sale’s requirements and communicate with them fluently during various stages of the projects.
Proficiency with space planning, with the help of advanced softwares for, specification of products , pricing, quotes and 3d high detail visualizations
Should have utmost concern for quality of work in terms of clarity on drawings and accuracy on product lists/BOQs.
Coordinate with the product development team for any non standard products as per the requirement of clients.
Selflearning to all current product lines tru the plataforms of learning
Exploit 100% product portfolio (local, HMI, HM UK and even POSH)
Understand and exploit tools. Including Omni, Learning, Mainstreet and Habitat.
Manage special products (HMI Options and EOS HM UK)
Apply new work trends, such as "Living Office" and new ones
Responsible for the quantification of components of each project.
Analyze and research the best solution for the client.
Project Management/Customer Coordination :
a) Project performance management and reporting: Able to estimate the scope of work, execute the project plan, record progress, and report status to Design Manager.
b) Interacting with the client at various stages of the projects.
c) Keeping a tab on the hours spent on a project and maintaining timesheets on a daily basis.
d) Constant upgrading and updating oneself with the latest in the industry and products launched.
e) Meeting project delivery deadline every single time without any misses or excuses.
f) Pitching in as a team player to help each other ensuring quality work is delivered within the stipulated timeline.
g) Report to the Design leader to ensure the Service Delivery/Operations is taken care
Minimum Requirements

Preferred a minimum of 2-3 years experience in office furniture industry with space planning knowledge.

Architect, Industrial designer, Interior design or equivalent design degree.

Proven working knowledge of AutoCAD is a must along with knowledge of MS Office products

Knowledge of 20/20 or CET Software or any specification software is strongly recommended

Should be detail oriented and possess analytical and problem solving skills.

Should have the ability to work independently and as a team player.
Education and experience
Essential:
Degree/Diploma level education. (business or design related)
A minimum of 2-3 years proven design success.
Should be willing to be flexible in terms of working shifts
Desirable.
Previous employment with an International company
Experience in office furniture specification
3D Rendering knowledge
