We have an exciting opportunity in Licensing & Extended Line (LEL) for you to lead our creative team and impact the future of play! As the Design Director, you will drive the front-end design direction for LEL cross-category priorities, enhancing product innovation with a focus on sustainable and circular design principles!
Please note the work location is Billund, Denmark
Core Responsibilities

Own the creative direction for cross-category priorities within LEL

Contribute to the overall design direction of LEL by bringing to bear insights from audiences, shoppers, brand, IP, and external partners.

Collaborate with creative and people leads across LEL, LEGO Design, LEL Marketing, LEL Sustainability, and product line teams to improve our portfolio innovation pipeline.

Collaborate with and oversee product design deliverables for external partners.

Participate in shaping the overall product and experience innovation strategy for the end audience and shoppers.

Lead a dedicated front-end design team to drive sustainability driven innovative solutions.

To enhance the LEGO ecosystem, LEL delivers relevant content that engages audiences through high-quality products and experiences! As the Design Director for front-end and circular design innovation, you will take creative ownership of the design strategy and set the direction for products and experiences across all our product lines.
Do you have what it takes?

Solid track record with hands-on experience in product, industrial, fashion, or circular design.

Demonstrated success in leading and inspiring design and creative teams to achieve innovative outcomes.

Prior experience in managing and nurturing team members is highly desirable.

Ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively through verbal and written communication, presentations, and visual aids.

Experience collaborating with marketing, product development, and external partners to advance design initiatives.

Willingness to travel occasionally to engage with global partners and participate in industry events.
