We’re looking for a financially motivated and commercially-minded Delegate Sales Executive who's looking want to use their skills to positively impact critical industries and the communities working within them. This role suits a recent graduate or candidates at the start of their sales careers.
This full-time, hybrid position is based in Canary Wharf, London.
About the Role
As a Delegate Sales Executive at Reuters Events, you will:

Reach out to potential delegates/participants predominantly through calls, emails, and social media platforms to inform them about upcoming events.

Use a consultative sales approach to understand the needs and interests of potential delegates and match these with the features of our events

Follow our minimum KPI standards and use these to help achieve and exceed sales targets .

Take a seat within a driven, highly motivated sales team and have a golden opportunity to learn the business from the ground up.

Be part of a collaborative team selling delegate places and tickets on our global portfolio of events.

Build relationships and rapport with leads across a variety of industry sectors and will receive commission for every single sale you make.

Use your excellent customer service skills to qualify and nurture sales leads.

Close individual and group delegate registrations for senior level ‘business to business’ conferences worldwide.

Be comfortable working to targets and speaking with decision makers at leading organisations.

Receive training on the sales techniques required to be a successful sales executive.

Have the potential to progress into a consultative business development role focusing on higher level exhibition and sponsorship packages OR into a conference production role looking at creating high end, commercially viable events where you will gain a wide range of transferrable skills.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Delegate Sales Executive at Reuters Events if you:
- Are motivated to work hard and carve out a successful career in sales or conferences.
- Are keen to progress quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Are confident on the phone talking to senior level executives from major organizations.
- Have an entrepreneurial flair with a determined outlook and a desire to deliver results.
- Have previous sales experience and some basis sales understanding (not essential but it will be considered a plus!)
