Data/BI Reporting Analyst

Summary

Our Finance Division is looking for a skilled Data/BI Reporting Analyst to maintain, administrate and develop our controlling system based on IBM planning analytics (TM1).

Job description

The Senior Data/BI Reporting Analyst - business reporting analyst performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:

• Administer internal business intelligence reporting tool (IBM Planning Analytics)
• Ensure a functional environment (within the reporting/planning/analytical tool) for monthly, quarterly and annual closings, planning and forecasting periods.
• Prepare analyses/proposals for improving reporting/planning/analytics/ to support strategic and business requirements.
• Cooperate with controllers (at different levels) and provide technical solutions for the required proposals that are related to management requirements.
• Analyse/Implementation/testing of new requirements
• Deliver quality reports by analyzing and testing data, escalating complex issues to troubleshoot errors and ensure valid information
• Preparation of special reports for management/the Group by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Financial modelling and analysis
• Guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, enforcing and improving policies and procedures
• Providing support to other departments in the company/ the Group
• Cooperation with other departments e.g. BI
• Technical support for users

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in business intelligence/reporting/controlling - experience in a large international company preferred
• Knowledge of TM1,Cognos or other OLAP based tool
• Basic knowledge of finance and accounting terminology
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, OLAP technology, data modelling
• Strong SQL and MDX development skills- writing complex queries and stored procedures
• Expert knowledge in query and report development tools. Assume a methodical approach to problem-solve and evaluate complex data preferred
• Computer literate with excellent Excel skills and understanding of accounting software principles
• Strong analytical, numerical skills
• Fluency in English B2/C1
• A confident self-starter with the ability to operate in a dynamic international environment
• University degree in Computer Science, Economics
• Strong sense of responsibility and organization of work
• Experience with the implementation of finance reporting systems - advantage
• Excellent time management
• Strong attention to detail, good judgment showing logical decision making, and a hands on approach
• The ability to work to tight deadlines
• Multitasking skills
• Lots of energy and motivation
• Strong communication skills, communication with non-technical users

Basic wage component (gross): from 2700 EUR

*The final basic wage component can be adjusted accordingly to individual skills and experience of selected candidate. 

Performance bonus 2 times per year up to 15% of the basic salary paid for the evaluation period (usually 6 months).
