The Data Strategy & Analytics Director plays a critical role in being accountable for the success of multiple client relationships, developing deep insights to drive performance, and designing sophisticated testing plans. As a consulting lead, you’ll be responsible for deeply understanding clients’ business issues and goals, and be the advisor to client leadership. The position requires strong quantitative and communication skills, a passion for advancing client marketing and measurement strategy, a sense of personal accountability and ownership for team performance, and a desire to be part of a tightly-knit team that’s out to change the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the senior reporting, analytics, and testing point of contact across an assigned client portfolio, with ultimate accountability for data accuracy and clear presentation of results
- Partner with senior internal and external stakeholders in the client organization to understand their business goals, marketing objectives, and current and planned data infrastructure to develop thoughtful testing plans and analytical roadmaps
- Work with your teams to effectively translate data into information, quickly identifying and clearly communicating the ‘so what’ to senior client leaders
- Directly lead a team of up to 5 and, as a leader, provide strategic guidance and thought leadership across Kepler’s functional teams
- In partnership with senior leadership, guide the organizational and staffing structure of the Data Strategy & Analytics team
- Inspire, coach and mentor staff across multiple disciplines
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 7-10+ years experience paid media/marketing analytics, statistics, digital media strategy, and/or data science
- Strong background in analytics / statistics working with large data sets and knowledge of key analytics languages (SQL strongly preferred)
- Strong client presence; experience building relationships and driving change at senior levels within enterprise organizations
- Experience leading teams with proven ability to develop junior and mid-level staff
- Expertise in 2-3 of the following areas is required (in priority order): Driving testing agendas + designing advanced tests, Media Mix Modeling (MMM) implementation, Advanced SQL, Retail Analytics (especially within the Amazon ecosystem), Brand Lift Studies
- Ability to apply innovative thinking to solve complex marketing challenges, developing and prioritizing analytical roadmap to inform team decisions and client outcomes
- Process and detail oriented; takes a “roll up your sleeves” approach to leadership and best practice development
- Ability to contribute as a senior leader in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team-based environment
- BA/BS degree required

TOTAL COMPENSATION:
- Base Salary: $125,000 - $145,000
- Target Annualized Discretionary Bonus: 10% ($12,500 - $14,500)
- Target Total Cash: $137,500 - $159,500
