The Opportunity: The North America Data Organization is responsible for developing and implementing organizational data strategy, leading data and analytics capabilities to enable better business outcomes, and driving productization and innovation of data usage across QBE NA. The team ensures that QBE NA leverages data as driver for business value enablement through effective collaboration across our business and functional teams.
The Data Product Management Lead will manage the data product function for QBE NA, partnering closely with NA Data, IT, business and functional leaders, Enterprise Architecture, and external partners to ensure successful delivery of value-rich data solutions and capabilities. This leader will play a key role in defining the product vision and strategy for data-driven insurance solutions that will redefine the specialty insurance experience for QBE NA colleagues and our customers. The role is expected to challenge teams to think differently and to adopt a “product thinking” posture to achieve data innovation outcomes.

Work Arrangement: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week.

The salary range for this role is between $183,000-$275,000
Your New Role
-
Partner closely with NA Data, IT, business and functional leadership to craft and deliver best-in-class, data-driven insurance experiences that are aligned to business value – while advancing the scalability and extensibility of our data platforms

Understand and translate business and functional priorities into corresponding epics and data user stories – serving as hands-on “data product owner” and writing user stories for design, engineering and delivery teams

Operationalize, own and continuously optimize the data product delivery model in NAO, ensuring agile delivery best practices for cost-efficient, repeatable and scalable data solutioning

Influence NAO’s data cloud roadmap by ensuring a “data-product” approach (re: internal and external customers) to data capabilities development and enhancement

Apply insights from qualitative customer and marketplace research and data analysis to continuously inform new feature prioritization and ongoing enhancements

Engage with our internal and external clients, brokerage partners, and industry-leading 3rd party tech partners to co-innovate and design compelling solutions that tap into our rich digital, data, and analytics capabilities

Proactively identify and evangelize best practices across NAO
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
-
5+ years relevant experience
Preferred Competencies/Skills
-
5+ years of product management and/or program management experience
-
Ability to translate strategic objectives from across Divisional business and functional teams into data product delivery requirements (epics, user stories, and story points)

Hands-on experience in partnering with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful product or program delivery (Product, Data, Engineering, Marketing, Sales)

Prior experience in analytics product management in insurance or financial services
-
Degree in Economics, Finance, Risk Management (or related field)

Ability to thrive in change, and having a passion to harness the energy of a fast-paced environment to create meaningful customer and business value

A strong bias toward action, and obsessing over knowing your customers better to remove friction from their experiences

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Creative problem-solving skills, self-organized, and process-driven with a knack for balancing the big picture with the details that matter

Understanding of data and analytics in business contexts – ability to solve business and client problems with data-driven solutions

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate’s professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
