The Role:

We are looking for a Product Manager to set and drive the strategic direction of Rue Gilt Groupe’s’ Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse team (BIDW). This team powers our unique flash sales model and our most valuable asset: our data. In this role, you leverage technologies like Snowflake and Tableau to make a significant impact on both our business intelligence and data products to unlock insights for stakeholders and execute on project opportunities that drive the strategic direction of Rue Gilt Groupe. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Define, evaluate, and prioritize the roadmap for the Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse team, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders and our business goals
  • Work directly with internal stakeholders (at all levels) across Product, Customer Service, Merchandising, Fulfillment, and Marketing to gather requirements for data ingestion, data sharing across systems, and data visualizations and reporting. 
  • Lead a squad of engineers in scoping and executing against projects.
  • Take a lead role in identifying trends, patterns, and correlations that can be used to inform product and business decisions.
  • Engage and communicate key updates with leadership. 
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand potential BIDW dependencies and opportunities, including discovering new areas of innovation like establishing groundwork for AI initiatives.
  • Be an evangelist for data quality, data visualizations and self-service analytics.
  • Championing data literacy within the organization and driving adoption rates.
  • Managing data governance processes to ensure the reliability, consistency, and quality of the company’s data.

  • 2+ years of experience in product management in e-commerce
  • Experience in an Agile environment, ideally in the Data Products and Business Intelligence space
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a disparate set of stakeholders with a range of technical skills and data literacy
  • Proficient project management skills
  • Motivate others to drive their tasks to completion
  • Analytical chops and decision-making skills to diagnose and identify as well as formulate effective action plans to resolve issues
  • Experience with data visualization software such as Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing fundamentals is a plus.
  • Preferred to have experience writing SQL queries to explore and QA data
  • Nice to have basic understanding of statistics and statistical testing (A/B Testing)


Base Salary Range: $125,000 - $140,000

carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including prior experience, skills and expertise, location, and internal equity. Our goal is to support, reward and compensate the entire individual. Depending on role eligibility, your offer may also include bonus/commission, equity, 401(k) match, and a variety of benefits. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated.
