Senior BI Engineer, New York

We are seeking a Senior BI Engineer with extensive experience in business intelligence, reporting, and analytics to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Amazon Redshift, Amazon QuickSight, and will collaborate closely with major financial institutions to develop and optimize robust BI solutions.

This role involves designing, building, and maintaining data models and analytics platforms to drive data-informed decision-making processes. 

Key Responsibilities

• Business Intelligence Development: Create and maintain high-quality reports, visualizations, and dashboards using Amazon QuickSight and Power BI tailored to diverse business needs. 
• Data Modeling: Develop and optimize scalable data models in Amazon Redshift to support analytics and reporting requirements. 
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with data engineers, analysts, and business users to gather and translate data requirements into actionable insights and solutions. 
• Performance Optimization: Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of BI tools and reports. 
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of BI solutions, data models, and workflows. 
• Consultative Approach:Operate with a consulting mindset, identifying opportunities for improving client processes and expanding engagement scope. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. 
• 10+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or related domains. 
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Amazon QuickSight, Power BI, and/or Tableau. 
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of database design and optimization. 
• Experience in financial services or consulting environments is highly desirable. 
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices. 
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python for advanced analytics or automation. 
• Knowledge of cloud-based data infrastructure and services. 
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. 
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

The base salary range for this role is $170,000 - $200,000. However, the base salary range may vary depending on the individual's job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
