The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Management and Visualisation Lead to join the AUSPAC Transformation & Portfolio team in Sydney. Reporting to the Head of Portfolio performance, you will own the end-to-end development of data-driven insights that will support efficient and effective governance of the AUSPAC Change Projects Portfolio using various tools, models and systems.

Your new role

As the Data Management and Visualisation Lead your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and implementing improvements to operational systems, processes and policies to enhance data driven and efficient governance of the AUSPAC Change Projects Portfolio.

  • Support the development of reports and presentations that show case insights in a manner digestible to senior stakeholders

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to drive automation and efficiency in Transformation Project Management Office activities.

  • Resolve escalated complaints and respond to critical issues appropriately

  • Providing technical support to end users on the use and application of data and educate them in the usage of the reporting and analytical tools.

  • Extracting, structuring, cleansing and organising data, and the designing and building of dashboards.

About you

To be successful in the Data Management and Visualisation Lead role, you will ideally come from a similar sized corporate organisation and will have worked on large scale transformation projects. You will have experience in a similar Data Visualisation or Reporting Manager role preferable from Insurance, Banking or Financial Services. You will also have:

  • Advanced Data skills – experience pulling data from various systems and consolidating it

  • A working knowledge of MS Projects or other project management tools

  • Project of transformation background preferred (PMO)

  • Proven knowledge of Power BI, Qlikview, Tableau, or similar and SQL and SAS database experience

  • Familiarity with advanced analytical techniques in Python or R, including regression, ONA, NLP, neural networks, or similar

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills with strong skills in spreadsheets, data analysis and reporting
