As a Customer Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in the scoping phase of strategic engagements and manage projects for OEMs and major suppliers within an international and challenging environment. Your mission is to lead our Customer programs from initial scoping to final delivery, and deliver maximum value through actionable findings and conclusions for our customers. By working cross-functionally, you will provide both commercial and technical insights, leveraging the extensive expertise at A2Mac1. You will consolidate and report recommendations to key stakeholders, communicate them effectively, and identify further project opportunities to foster long-term customer relationships.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Customer Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all technical and financial aspects of medium size to large strategic projects from initial scoping to project closure. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Customer Program & Relationship Management: Serve as the primary interface to customers during project execution, maintaining clear and reliable communication at operational, management, and executive levels.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from the pre-kick-off phase through an efficient engagement ramp-up. Plan, lead and successfully complete customer deliverables, ensuring quality and adherence to client expectations within the allocated timeline and budget.
  • Stakeholder Management: Coordinate and manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Actionable Recommendations: Identify and present actionable recommendations, maintaining a hands-on mentality to drive project success.

· Quality Assurance: Own the responsibility for the quality of project engagements, ensuring client satisfaction and presenting key findings effectively.

  • Team Guidance: Lead the project delivery team to provide the right output to the customer.
  • Pre-sales Support: Assist in efficient scoping of project content, deliverables & timelines for strategic initiatives, contributing to business growth.
Requirements

Professional Background

  • 10-15 years of experience in the automotive industry or similar (ideally at OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers within engineering & projects departments) in a fast pace & global matrix environment, including 5+ years of experience in a transversal project management position.
  • Proven expertise in project management and transversal leadership according to industry standards and practices.
  • Completed Master's degree (or Bachelor's with relevant work experience) preferably in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or business administration with an engineering extension.
  • Experience in Consulting (engineering & project) is advantageous.
  • Experience in technical and/or service sales or customer service is advantageous.

Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to build deep and influential stakeholder relationships within large customer organizations.
  • Strong technical curiosity, with a willingness to learn quickly and a hands-on, player/coach mentality.
  • Excellent project management skills and knowhow
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, and excellent communication.
  • Customer-oriented working style with a keen sense for business development and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Open-minded and enthusiastic personality with self-confidence
  • Ability to lead oneself and others effectively.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and spend time on customer sites globally.

Languages

  • English : Fluent (min B2, C1 or C2 preferred)
  • Japanese : Fluent (min B2, C1 or native preferred)
  • Korean & Chinese language also appreciated
