The Project Manager will drive cross functional business development projects. The Project Manager will be a conduit between approved business development projects (by all channels) and the operations, scheduling, purchasing, logistics and financial teams.  

Continuously improving processes, the Project Manager will manage approved projects from samples through completion. They will ensure the project team, cross-functional stakeholders, and external partners remain cohesive in working toward project objectives, effectively monitor project tasks and milestones, and socialize progress and risks to key stakeholders at all levels of the organization. This role will be a critical member of the team and the success of Tru Vue as we prioritize profitable growth. 

Products in the NPI process are excluded from the scope of this job.   Any projects requiring custom sizes, logistics or packaging would be in the purview of this role.   

Job Functions

  • Sample management:  Oversee management of sample room.  Ensure procedures are in place to deliver quality samples to prospective accounts.  
  • Manage the job packet process.
    • Coordinate and influence cross-functional partners from engineering, operations, finance, HR/EHS, procurement, quality, commercial, IT, financial.  
    • Work with team to obtain new part numbers, costing, job details, substrate sourcing.
  • Develop and facilitate project plans, progress trackers, status reporting and cadences.
  • Lead project meetings including scheduling and developing meeting agendas and managing meeting notes and follow-up items.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Attend initial production runs.  Ensure quality sign offs occur on product prior to shipment. 
  • Conduct post-project evaluations and implement improvements for future projects.
  • Use tools to digitize and organize work.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Experience in operations, supply chain, communication, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of prior project coordination experience required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology
  • Knowledge of and ability to identify a problem and use a disciplined approach to successfully resolve
  • Ability to form and maintain cross-functional relationships and lead by influence
  • Ability to maintain a high attention to detail while working with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong written, verbal, and persuasive communication and facilitation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Primarily works in a manufacturing plant setting
