The Creative Multimedia Communications Specialist is an excellent storyteller and a brand champion, who will inspire targeted audiences through the use of interactive methods such as powerpoint presentations, graphic design, video, podcasts, live and virtual events. The work will showcase QBE's strategic direction and GSSC's capabilities to various stakeholders and audience, from QBE global senior leaders to a diverse external audience. The role will produce engaging communication assets, striking a balance between creative and professional outputs. The role will also manage GSSC's digital platforms. This position reports to the Communications Manager and sits within the GSSC Communications and Branding Team and will regularly engage with the Global Communications Team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Generate multimedia content that resonates across multiple audiences, geographies, cultures and multi-media channels
- Produce and create images, videos and graphics for use on multiple platforms
- Take direction from written and spoken ideas and convert them into concepts for powerpoint, web, social media, intranet, video and other digital/electronic venues
- Develops graphic design projects through all phases of development and final production of materials, which may include presentations, digital materials, facilities design, and external visibility projects
- Manage the production of creative and multimedia collaterals such as but not limited to printing, installation and supervising video shoots and editing
- Produce powerful, creative and very professional powerpoint presentations for the GSSC and the Chief Shared Services Officer in very fast turnaround time
- Turn data into simple yet engaging infographics
- Produce, shoot, develop and edit video content for digital platforms
- Partner with the rest of Communications Team on the creation of video scripts and storyboards, logistics for video shoots, editing and other post-production tasks, clearly and precisely communicating what is needed (footage, transitions, animations, etc.)
- Manage digital channels of the GSSC to ensure regular updates of information is published
- Research and implement latest trends on multimedia assets including new tools and new technology with the aim of delivering inspiring, interactive, engaging and relevant outputs
- Measures and analyzes the effectiveness of creative materials
- Provide inputs on solutions for visual effectiveness on social media, presentations and other digital channels
- Establish a project plan for each assigned project to ensure deliverables are met on time
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design or other related cours
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Exceptional proficiency in MS Powerpoint with ability to complete work in a fast turnaround time
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite particularly Premiere; Final Cut Pro a plus but not required
- Fluent in digital, print, video production, and live event production
- Experience in utilizing the principles of design, color theory, typography, and graphics for online, print, and video
- Experience in video/motion graphic production and post-production techniques
- Understanding of print processes and file preparation
- Knowledge of basic photography
- Adaptive design eye and skill and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of HTML, UI, UX a plus but not required
Experience
- At least 5 years of related work experience preferably in a corporate setting
- Understanding of the use of branding guidelines and tone of voice
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, and work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders, mostly senior leaders in a corporate environment
- Ability to prioritize, organize, schedule, self-manage, and coordinate projects
- A team player, ideally with experience working in a multinational company, working with stakeholders and colleagues across functions and geographies
