About the CD role at Aruliden

Creative directors on the Brand Design team lead integrated, multi-discipline teams. Reporting to the ECD, together they are responsible and accountable for managing the overall quality, vision, and craft of all creative deliverables on assigned accounts. This person will manage both the creative direction of projects and the career paths of their direct reports on the team; In short, the ideal candidate thrives on the art of storytelling, obsesses about craft, and is passionate about the intersection of design and culture.

As a Creative Director you will

  • Conceptualize and execute impactful, compelling creative and marketing campaigns that improve awareness, conversion, and brand love across all platforms, including video, digital, social, traditional, instore and point of sale.

  • Bring deep experience creating dynamic design systems that get applied digital and physical touchpoints

  • Present and champion conceptual ideas and creative executions with a strong ability to hear feedback objectively, iterate and strengthen the work.

  • Bring a positive blend of can-do optimism and push-us-forward pragmatism to solving large, strategic, and complex problems with simple and elegant solutions that address project goals & requirements

  • Set a high bar for creative excellence across all forms of media

  • Encourage a culture of creativity, experimentation, and risk-taking within the creative team

  • Communicate creative strategies and concepts to stakeholders at all levels of the business

  • Contribute to the planning and resourcing of projects

  • Model and foster an environment of teamwork and collaboration

  • Guide and support the professional development of team members 

  • Help creative team members to develop rationale for the work and create thoughtful, strategic client presentations. Represent the agency with consideration and creativity. 

  • Work closely with Associate Creative Directors and Account Directors to manage and troubleshoot the progress of all campaign development, including helping to craft and evaluate 360º briefs  

  • When appropriate, directly engage in the concepting work to establish the vision, voice and look of new campaigns.

  • Become the local guardian of and act as the brand rudder on accounts you lead, as well as maintain a curious and active interest in the advertising industry

  • Manage your team’s time utilization against account budgets 

  • Play a strong leadership role in identifying opportunities to grow existing businesses organically, and occasionally in New Business development

About You 

  • 10+ years of design agency experience 

  • Demonstrated success developing multimedia design systems, campaigns, and valued client relationships

  • Exceptional management and leadership skills.

  • Seasoned creative with expansive brand creative experience; of a high level of taste with a knowledge base of references from the art, design, and cultural arenas

  • An ideas person who can bring strategic insight to every point of influence in the marketing continuum; a big-picture thinker and meticulous about craft

  • Voracious consumer of digital/social content, and early adopter of trends with a passion for innovation. 

  • A relationship builder who instills confidence in the work product both internally and for the clients 

  • An optimistic problem solver, one who finds opportunity in challenge

  • Team player – works across disciplines (art, copy, digital, business strategy) to achieve the right work 

  • A compelling story-teller and theater-maker in front of audiences of all sizes

  • The ability to inspire a team to bring conceptual ideas all the way through to fruition

  • Consistently make creative decisions with a view to business growth

  • Easily prioritize, organize and time-manage within large volumes of projects

  • Solid experience in the retail and/or CPG landscape, the home sector a plus.

Pay Range: $110,000 – 135,000.00

The rate shown represents a relevant range currently in use at Material. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
