Role Description: Country Manager - DACH

 

Role Purpose: 

 

We’re looking to add an enthusiastic, driven, and ambitious Country Manager in Germany to execute the strategy and acceleration of Wasabi's business in the region. The Country Manager is responsible for hiring and managing the in-country sales team and driving adoption of Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage by executing Wasabi’s go-to-market model.

 

As part of the Wasabi Sales Organization in EMEA, you’ll lead the in-country team efforts to evangelize Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage to enterprise and OEM customers, as well as to onboard, and activate new channel partners. You will work with those partners to add Wasabi to their sales and marketing models, to evangelize the Wasabi value prop, and ultimately help them fulfill end-user Wasabi business. The award-winning Wasabi Partner Network Program offers channel partners free training and marketing resources to get activated quickly and is an outstanding resource to our channel sales teams. This role will report to the Vice President & General Manager of Wasabi EMEA.

This position is being hired through a Professional Employer Organization (PEO), which supports Wasabi Technologies with payroll and HR compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire, lead and manage the local cross functional Wasabi team who will be responsible for meeting assigned targets for sales volume and strategic objectives.
  • Influence Technology Partners and Distributors to align their business resources to drive Wasabi revenue. 
  • Work with the Team to recruit, onboard, and activate new, qualified VARs, SIs and Cloud/Managed Service Providers to drive revenue in the region. 
  • Be the Management contact for large, targeted partners and participate in regular meetings and business planning sessions including QBRs to develop forecasts, plan MDF spending, and key business activities. 
  • Participate in joint partner planning processes that develop mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship. 
  • Leverage marketing automation and CRM tools to rapidly isolate ideal partner and end-user prospects and systematically track activity and forecast opportunities. 

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of technology channel sales experience (storage experience a plus). 
  • Regional experience required. 
  • Experience leading a sales team in a high growth environment.
  • Disciplined about planning, setting goals, and following up. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees within the sales function and across functions including Marketing, Sales Operations, System Engineering, and Product Development. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Creative, self-starting team player, willing to make positive suggestions to further the team’s success. 
  • Prior experience with SFDC or other CRM platforms required, Sales training certification a plus. 
  • B.A. or B.S. or equivalent University degree on Business or a related field.
