We are seeking a dynamic and experienced lawyer to join our management in Norway to report directly to the Managing Director and be an important and integral part of the Country Leadership team. In the role you will lead a team of 2 people and be part of the Nordic Cluster Legal team of 18 colleagues.

As Head of Legal you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth while aligning our operations with regulatory requirements and handling risk management. It is a broad leadership role covering the full spectrum of a fast growing, innovative and dynamic B-to-C product and services company.

This is also an opportunity to join a global team of over 100 lawyers and professionals working in legal, compliance, privacy, IP, AI and government and regulatory affairs team, across our geographies. Responsibilities

Given the central role of the Legal department and the numerous legal areas our business touches, the role is an opportunity to drive business success by providing expert legal guidance and act as a strategic business partner to deliver pragmatic, commercial, and actionable legal solutions.

Comprehensive Legal Advisory:

• Consumer Protection & Go to Market regulations:  Provide expertise on Go to Market regulations to advise the business on marketing, advertising and sales materials, initiatives and processes, as well as collaborations in this area with third parties, covering consumer protection and marketing regulation, and service specific regulation.
• Commercial Contracting: Work closely with the business teams on contracts with customers, suppliers, partnerships, franchisees, and sales partners. Provide support and business advise to further develop strong franchisee partnerships.
• Risk management: Lead the ERM process and identify local risks together with lead compliance counsel and HR.  
• Legal compliance: With support from team members, ensure full compliance within key legal compliance areas, including competition, consumer protection, data privacy and AI.
• Governmental and Regulatory Affairs: when needed manage relationships with regulatory bodies and contribute to industry regulation evolution. Together with Head of Operations, further our partnering with police and other emergency response agencies to further strengthen our alarm response services. Keep abreast of key regulatory and legal trends to anticipate impacts on the business with regulatory monitoring.

Strategic Business Partner:

• Provide pragmatic and commercial legal guidance to shape business strategies and plans through strategic legal advice. As a business enabler, provide concrete solutions that can be implemented within the company.

Experiences and Qualifications

• Master’s degree in law or equivalent experience.
• Relevant legal experience in Norway, typically gained through a 5+ years of experience commercial law firm or in-house.
• Experience combining law firm and in-house experience is highly valued.
• Experience as a legal generalist providing comprehensive legal support in fast-paced, growing B2C environments.
• Strong understanding of legal issues in a B2C environment and ability to navigate complex legal challenges, balancing risk management with business agility in a fast-moving commercial setting.
• Strong legal drafting skills, recognized for clarity and precision.
• Hands-on mindset, with the ability to manage projects through to execution.
• Proficiency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
• Comfort working in a dynamic, international environment.
