The Opportunity
We are looking for a Country Finance Director for Hitachi Energy Austria, Germany and Switzerland. You will be the Senior Business Partner from a country perspective reporting to the Country Managing Director (CMD) and functionally to the Regional Finance Director (RFD). In this role you will be supporting the CMD and the local Frontend Sales organization in the demand order growth. You will also drive Local Business Finance Manager tasks and as such ensure that all local cross-business-specific finance and fiduciary requirements are met and complied with. The role is preferably located in Switzerland.
How you will make an impact

Local speaking partner towards global CFO organization and acting as the Senior Finance representative in the countries.

Responsible for compliance with all applicable local fiduciary finance requirements and oversee compliance with local statutory GAAP, local reporting, legal and tax requirements, with support provided by the internal organizations, as Common Shared Service center (CSS) and Controlling Practice & Operations (CP&O)

Support Corporate and Global Functions as required in developing financial and tax strategies and acquisitions, due diligence and negotiations at a country level

Maintain relations with external auditors and representing Hitachi Energy locally (focusing on external stakeholders, including for e.g. local authorities, multi-lateral organizations) and actively manages partnerships and external stakeholders

Build strong and productive relationships with key customers at a senior level

Support global CFO organization with local talent development & functional competence
Your Background
-
Track record of Financial Management experience ideally in a large size international organization paired with experience working as a CFO or CFD for a mid to large size company

Great team player with strong communication and collaboration skills with both internal and external stakeholders (customers, tax authorities, government institutions, associations, auditors e.g.)

Strong people management and leadership skills, ability to lead and coach team

Deep knowledge of German/Swiss Gaap, and local German/Swiss fiduciary rules and regulations is required

Ability to work independently and take responsibility for driving local/regional/global projects end to end

Strategic thinker with strong planning skills and high level of business acumen and at the same time very hands on when needed

Excellent German and English skills both written and spoken

Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting

Willingness to spend every 2 weeks four days in Germany (40%)
