Your Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented attorney to join Tenable’s dynamic legal team as Corporate Counsel.  This role will support the company’s global Employment Law matters, and assist with the company’s global Privacy, Data Protection, and Artificial Intelligence regulatory matters. 

 Your Opportunity:

  • Review, draft, and provide guidance on employment agreements, offer letters, separation agreements, restrictive covenants,  vendor agreements, independent contractor agreements, compensation and benefits agreements, insurance agreements, and data processing agreements
  • Assist in responding to subpoenas, including wage garnishment matters, and liaise with payroll providers or compensation and benefits teams as needed
  • Conduct legal research on employment,  privacy, and AI-related legal developments, and global compliance issues, providing concise and actionable recommendations
  • Support immigration-related and visa-related inquiries, and collaborate with HR teams to ensure legal compliance
  • Work closely with privacy counsel to support global privacy initiatives, including employee data protection and compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws, and conducting privacy and AI-related risk assessments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, Information Security, Product/Engineering, and Sales/Marketing
  • Provide legal guidance on matters involving international employment law and compliance with foreign labor regulations
  • Develop business-focused legal solutions by distilling complex legal principles into clear, concise guidance for internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices in employment law and privacy
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with legal operations and administrative tasks as required
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with various teams to support company-wide legal initiatives
  • Support the company’s response to regulatory inquiries, audits, and litigation related to employment and privacy law

What You'll Need:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. State Bar
  • 1-3 years of post-law school experience in employment law, privacy or related legal practice (law firm in-house experience, or agency/government experience preferred)
  • Strong legal research skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide clear, bottom-line, business-oriented guidance
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to deliver direct, actionable legal advice without unnecessary complexity
  • A proactive and organized mindset, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Interest in working on global legal issues and a willingness to develop expertise in privacy law and employment law across different jurisdictions
  • Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including HR and IT
  • Familiarity with key employment laws (e.g., Title VII, ADA, and FMLA) and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR and CCPA) is a plus

This is the base pay range for this position. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, location and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. Employees are also eligible for variable compensation in addition to base pay (commission for sales roles, bonus for non-sales roles), depending on company and individual performance. $136,500$181,833.33 USD
