Job Summary
The Coordinator for Community Relations and Solutions is a dynamic and collaborative role. The coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department project management and communication efforts. This position plays a crucial role in assisting with fostering strong internal and external relationships with community partners and ensuring smooth execution of department responsibilities & initiatives.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experienced with preparing partner agreements, contracts, proposals, and RFQL/RFPs; skilled in executing contract support, production, and procurement functions.

Proficient in inputting, analyzing, and monitoring databases, records, and metrics; capable of developing and maintaining data and surveys for statistical insights and feedback.

Experienced in managing budget allocations, ensuring adherence to financial checks and balances.

in delivering effective customer service and conducting internal and external communications; possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experienced in planning and executing community events, including logistics, marketing, and coordination with various stakeholders.

Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and adhering to deadlines with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Advanced experience in collaborating within a team environment; skilled at building strong professional relationships with workgroups and community stakeholders, including community organizations, leaders, and members.

Proven experience in preparing presentations, reports, and materials related to departmental activities and meetings.

Associate degree and three years of work-related experience or five years of work-related experience. Official transcripts are required

Must have valid driver’s license for traveling to off-site locations

Ability to work extended hours beyond the standard M-F, 8am-5pm and some Saturdays

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Proficiency with Workday and Salesforce a plus

Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to finalize contracts and agreements

Assist with researching, developing, and evaluating proposals, partnership agreements and RFQs/RFPs
-
Create, maintain and update department databases & surveys ensuring data accuracy and integrity
-
Distribute and analyze surveys to collect valuable data and extract actionable insights
-
Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing key findings and recommendations
-
Assist with developing and executing communication plans for departmental initiatives and events
-
Provide and create marketing content, including emails, social media posts, and other materials
-
Ensure effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

Manage logistics for meetings, events and trainings, including venue booking, catering, and material preparation

Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget

Monitor department expenses and prepare regular budget reports
-
Participate actively in team, division, and college-wide meetings

Assist with aligning project plans and activities with department and college strategic goals

Must complete required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year
