Job Description

Due to growth, Sika Corporation is seeking to add a Controller to our Finance department. 

The Controller Supply Chain will lead efforts to optimize warehouse and logistics costs, enhance operational efficiency, and support data-driven decisions. This role requires expertise in performance monitoring, forecasting, technology integration, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure a resilient, efficient, and cost-effective supply chain.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and monitor performance metrics, including on-time delivery, order accuracy, storage utilization, and transportation costs. Generate reports and insights for management.
  • Cost Efficiency: Oversee and analyze warehousing and logistics costs to identify trends, issues and savings opportunities. Develop strategies and action plans to manage and reduce costs related to transportation, warehousing, labor, and inventory.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics and predictive modeling to support effective decision-making for warehousing and logistics, ensuring alignment with company goals and operational needs.
  • Inventory Optimization by Region: Develop and implement inventory optimization strategies tailored to regional demand, balancing cost efficiency with service levels. Ensure adequate inventory placement and storage across regions to minimize stockouts and excess stock.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead process improvement initiatives across warehousing, logistics and manufacturing operations, leveraging lean methodologies, automation, and best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Play a pivotal role in the implementation or upgrade of financial systems enhancing central finance operations.
  • Frequently visit the plants and companies of the Area, deepening the knowledge of local operations and their financial performance
  • Business partner to the SVP Supply Chain and other members of Management

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

10 + years Experience in supply chain controlling, logistics, or warehousing, with demonstrated success in a manufacturing environment.

This position requires a skilled person at cost analysis, performance monitoring, and optimizing regional inventory to balance demand efficiently. With expertise in data analytics, they utilize tools like Power BI to support informed, data-driven decisions. Their strong focus on continuous improvement drives effective process enhancements in warehousing and logistics through lean methodologies. Skilled in project management, they collaborate seamlessly across finance, operations, and supply chain teams, aligning efforts with strategic goals. Their clear communication and interpersonal skills foster impactful cost management and operational efficiency across the organization. This position requires a dynamic person with the ability to communicate with others in an analytical manner. Strong leadership capabilities required with the ability to interpret financial results to steer the company financially to meet its targets.  The business environment has many variations and changes, and the candidate must be prepared to work within the broad parameters. This person must be entrepreneurial, competitive, imaginative, enthusiastic, confident, self-motivating, logical, analytical, systematic, precise and innovative.
