About the Job
JPI has an exciting opportunity for a Contract Manager to join our Design team located in Dallas, TX.
The Contracts Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Design and will be responsible for drafting, managing and processing contracts, purchase orders, change orders and invoice approvals, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
In addition to managing consultant contracts, this role will support the many internal studios within the Design Department as JPI expands its in-house architecture, interior design, community technology and structural engineering capabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in contract administration and the commercial real estate industry, with a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Contract Management:

  • Draft, review and administer contracts, based on approved proposals and utilizing JPI’s contract templates.

  • Ensure all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.

  • Maintain an organized system of contracts, amendments/change orders, project budgets, scopes, and schedules. 

  • Responsible for tracking key deadlines.

Purchase Orders & Payments:

  • Process Purchase Orders (POs) based on executed contracts within Workday software/system.

  • Work closely with the finance and accounting teams to ensure timely payments to consultants.

  • Assist in resolving any contract-related payment discrepancies.

Collaboration & Compliance

  • Work closely with Design Managers, Project Managers, Legal and Accounting to streamline contract administration.

  • Ensure all contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and insurance requirements.

  • Support JPI’s internal growth initiatives by developing best practices for contract management.

Non-essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in contract administration within the construction, real estate, or architecture/engineering industry.

  • Strong understanding of consultant agreements, AIA contracts, and commercial real estate/architecture/construction industry best practices.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in contract management software, Microsoft Office, and Workday financial tracking systems.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments and internal design studios.
