Summary of This Role

Manages the legal contract process to ensure client satisfaction while minimizing corporate risk and collaborates with attorneys and internal stakeholders to achieve targeted results and meet client expectations. Responsible for analyzing, negotiating terms, and drafting amendments, client contracts with applicable schedules, and other legal documents, interpreting contractual language and incorporating legal and business concepts. Serves as the primary liaison with client contacts for assigned projects, coordinating communication efforts and the distribution of documents to facilitate each step of the contract cycle.

What Part Will You Play?

  • Interacts with management to provide counsel regarding timelines and deliverables. Exercises judgment to strategically lead cross-functional teams and resolve competing priorities to meet project requirements and client expectations with a high level of accountability.

  • Counsels key stakeholders on innovative solutions to overcome barriers and to ensure internal approval and accountability for agreed terms. Reviews documents throughout the contract process to ensure that all negotiated terms are accurately reflected and are consistent with corporate policy.

  • Analyzes contracts, negotiates terms, and counsels on client contract issues. Tailors contractual documents for specific business platforms to meet current and future client needs, recognizing the impact of key industry developments. Negotiates, proposes and reviews proposed innovative solutions and makes decisions on contract provisions in collaboration with stakeholders, management and attorneys. Assists with drafting policy documents and with regulatory research.

  • Acts as a mentor for team members, providing guidance, training and coaching, as applicable.

  • Identifies and initiates actions required to adapt the contractual process to changes in technology, regulatory, audit, or corporate requirements, including developing and updating contract templates to support new initiatives and services.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Relevant Experience or Degree in: or combination of relevant professional training and/or experience accepted in lieu of degree

  • Typically Minimum 10+ Years Relevant Exp

  • in analyzing, writing and negotiating legal documents

  • Cloud Services Contract experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant experience with Global Payments or another financial payments company

  • PC skills - Proficient in Windows-based applications, in particular Microsoft Word and Excel
