Give your career a lift!  Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. (HYMH), a world-class manufacturer of industrial forklift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for motivated and hands-on students in Industrial Engineering Technology at our manufacturing plant located in Greenville, NC.  

 

What you will do:  

As a Continuous Improvement Engineering Intern, you will support the Continuous Improvement Team in executing projects that enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality. This internship provides hands-on exposure to production operations, lean initiatives, and process improvement in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Execute and/or support Continuous Improvement projects 
  • Supporting daily operations on the assembly line 
  • Auditing production lines for tool and fixture accuracy 
  • Documenting active projects and tracking improvement progress
  • Assisting in the development of templates for automation and control projects 
  • Identifying and communicating areas for process improvement

What you will need:  

  • Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program in Industrial Engineering Technology or a related field 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Interest in lean manufacturing, automation, and process documentation 
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
