POSITION PURPOSE
Reporting to the Sr. Manager/Manager, Trinity Health Clinical Engineering (THCE), independently and collaboratively leads projects relating to Medical Equipment. The Project Manager is responsible for leading variously sized projects from the planning phase through project close out. This includes leading multi-disciplinary project teams of internal and external stakeholders in order to develop and adhere to project budgets and timelines. Assists with the development and archival of clinical and support processes. This will include research and benchmarking as required from an internal and external perspective to support preferred practice at Trinity Health. Must be able to lead efficient meetings and work groups in a collaborative manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Facilitating the issuance, monitoring, and performance of consultants to maintain schedule and budget. Define and implement strategy to maintain budget and schedule commitments. Coordinate with other project coordinators/mangers to facilitate integration of all projects within RHM operations.
Responsible for tracking the project budget, ensuring project costs are within budget, taking appropriate action and involving appropriate decision makers to maintain and manage the project within the budget.
Tracking overall project schedule by energizing the organization to meet the scheduled needs of the project. Holding owner's participants responsible for meeting these schedule commitments.
Involves appropriate decision makers, in a timely fashion, to ensure the successful completion of the various projects. Coordinate the System Office and local reporting process.
Collaborates with Facilities, Administration, ITS, Trinity-Health Clinical Engineering (THCE), ancillary departments, and vendors to implement new space build outs, renovations, and medical equipment moves throughout the hospital.
Participates in capital planning with primary stakeholders including the executive team at the local RHM.
Facilitates relationship between contractors and Trinity Health for planning, design, and construction activity as it relates to work on campus and at satellite locations.
Facilitates education programs related to new technology, processes and procedures in order to prepare physicians, nurses, clinical aides and support staff for daily operations in their new spaces.
Facilitates the movement of patients and equipment between units when new and renovated floors are opened.
Assists the RHM with projects including but not limited to Ambulatory Network Development, Master Facility Planning, and the development of facility standards related to Medical Equipment.
Assists with the ordering of Medical Equipment related to the project in conjunction with the primary department owner.
Assists with the development of Capital Request forms for executive approval at the RHM.
Involves appropriate decision makers, in a timely fashion, to ensure the successful completion of the various projects. Coordinate the System Office and local reporting process.
Provides project status reports as required to the RHM and Trinity Health Leadership as required.
Acts as key interface between THCE, design, construction process and the System's operational leadership. Streamlines decision-making process, critical information available so timely informed decisions can be made. Manage consultants so that critical information required for these decisions is available.
Maintains a good rapport and cooperative relationships with peers, staff, and consultants. Approaches conflict in a constructive manner. Helps to identify problems, offer solutions, and choreograph their resolution.
Maintains the confidentiality of information acquired pertaining to patient, physicians, employees, and visitors to RHM. Discusses patient and hospital information only among appropriate personnel in appropriately private places.
Assumes responsibility for performance of job duties in the safest possible manner, to assure personal safety and that of coworkers and patients and their caregivers. Will report all preventable hazards and unsafe practices immediately to THCE & RHM Leadership.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor degree preferred in Clinical Engineering, Business Administration or related field to include related experience obtained with OEM or DOD.
Licensure: PMP preferred.
Training and Experience: 3-7 years of experience in management of small through large scale construction & renovation projects.
Job Knowledge: Demonstrates leadership ability to build teams and collaboratively arrive at solutions to complex issues.
Demonstrates ability to successfully manage a small scale project, so as to deliver, on time and within budget, the quality and scope of the parameters set forth in programming
Strong work knowledge of, NFPA99, ICRA and ILSM standards and codes.
Strong work knowledge of building codes and OSHA requirements.
Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, planning, delegation, coaching, communication (verbal, written and interpersonal), and computer (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
A personal presence characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
Ability to be a self-starter and independent worker able to manage multiple conflicting priorities and demands.
