Position Summary
The Manager of Content Strategy will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive content marketing strategy and plan to drive awareness, engagement, lead generation, and customer retention for HungerRush. This role will manage content strategy, planning, creation, and distribution to position HungerRush as a leader in restaurant technology.
This role requires strategic thinking, content marketing expertise, and hands-on execution skills, as well as the ability to manage a small team of internal and external contributors. Strong writing, visual content creation and storytelling, and project management skills are a must.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Content Strategy & Vision

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with business goals, customer needs, and market trends.
  • Define the content roadmap, ensuring it supports demand generation, product marketing, customer education, and brand positioning.
  • Establish and uphold editorial guidelines, messaging frameworks, and tone of voice to ensure consistency across all channels.

2. Content Creation & Optimization

  • Oversee the production of high-quality content, including blog posts, whitepapers, ebooks, case studies, videos, webinars, podcasts, and email campaigns.
  • Optimize content for SEO, conversion, and engagement using data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with product marketing to create thought leadership content that showcases expertise and differentiates the company.

3. Demand Generation & Lead Nurturing

  • Partner with growth marketing, demand generation, and sales teams to create content that fuels the sales funnel.
  • Develop content for inbound marketing, ABM (Account-Based Marketing), and email nurture campaigns.
  • Leverage content personalization and segmentation to engage specific buyer personas at different stages of the journey.

4. Customer Education & Retention

  • Work closely with the Customer Lifecycle Manager to create educational content that accelerates customer engagement and product adoption.
  • Consult on the development of guides, tutorials, and webinars for onboarding and ongoing education when needed.
  • Support customer storytelling initiatives, such as case studies and testimonials, to showcase success.

5. Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage a team of consultants and agency partners including writers, designers, filmmakers, and freelancers.
  • Collaborate with product marketing, brand, demand gen, sales, and customer success to align content efforts across departments.
  • Create and consult on content to support key marketing campaigns, product launches, and industry events.

6. Performance Measurement & Optimization

  • Define and track KPIs for content performance, such as traffic, engagement, lead conversion, and revenue impact.
  • Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) to measure content effectiveness and optimize based on insights.
  • Experiment with AI, automation, and content distribution to scale efforts efficiently.

7. Industry & Competitive Research

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor content strategies, and emerging content formats.
  • Identify opportunities for original research, reports, and unique thought leadership.
  • Establish partnerships with influencers, analysts, and industry experts to amplify content reach.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably in B2B SaaS, tech, or restaurant technology.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute content strategies that drive business impact.
  • Experience managing multi-channel content creation, including blogs, social, video, and long-form assets.
  • Experience creating high quality long-format content such as white papers, ongoing webinars, video series, etc.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing writers, designers, agencies, and freelancers.
  • SEO, demand generation, and inbound marketing expertise.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills.
  • Experience working with marketing automation, CMS, and analytics tools (HubSpot, Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Performance and outcome driven with ability to analyze content performance and optimize for ROI.
  • Strong project management skills, able to juggle multiple initiatives with tight deadlines.
  • Flexible work style able to adapt to change easily with a positive attitude.
  • High EQ with a collaborative style and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in restaurant tech, hospitality, or foodservice marketing.
  • Experience leading video production and customer storytelling initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AI and automation in marketing.
