What You'll Do
Reporting directly to the Director of Consumer Insights, the Consumer Insights Manager will work with the Director to create, synthesize, and leverage consumer learning to support the growth initiatives of the organization. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate consumer-driven data from multiple sources for a methodical approach to decision-making, ultimately contributing to profitable sales growth.
How you will contribute:

  • Activate insights that will influence strategy, communication, product development, packaging direction, pricing recommendations, and new business development
  • Support quantitative and qualitative foundational consumer research activities in coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Oversee all components of custom primary research, including design, methodology, project management, and presentation of results
  • Analyze and activate insights from research studies, including but not limited to segmentation, concept testing, price sensitivity studies, brand health tracking, portfolio optimization, in-home user testing, focus groups, shop-along, and ad hoc custom research
  • Identify key business issues and opportunities through the interpretation of multiple data sources (i.e., primary, secondary, consumer panel, and retail scan data)
  • Identify white spaces that can be leveraged to promote category expansion and new product development (for both current and future brands)
  • Other duties may be assigned


You will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in market research or consumer insights, preferably with a retail CPG or market research agency
  • Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and applications
  • Ability to drive a significant positive impact across a company, with a proven track record of driving results through fact-based insights
  • Experience partnering with internal marketing and sales stakeholders to build presentations
  • Strong data analysis skills, writing skills, and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to answer business questions
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and thrive in a cross-functional environment
  • A structured thinker capable of problem-solving, with the ability to translate insights into meaningful narratives and present persuasively to all levels, including executives
  • A self-starter who is passionate about gathering data, using data, and articulating stories from data that help colleagues make informed decisions

Munchkin's Hybrid Schedule is where an employee works in the office on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and remotely from home on Tuesday and Friday. We also provide annual weeklong global office closures giving our people a chance to recharge.
Salary range: $100,000 - 130,000 (DOE)
