In this role, you will reference your expertise in healthcare, hospital operations, technology vendor processes (including sales, contracting, and vendor management), consulting, and related areas, to identify, deliver, and support various cost-reducing strategies for healthcare provider clients. You will analyze data, review and compare vendor contracts. and interface with provider organization stakeholders to generate strategic insight, identify opportunities to drive performance and quality improvements, implement solutions, and deliver cost savings. You will also support business unit growth activities, such as needs analysis and scoping of addressable markets for new offerings, development and testing of concepts with prospective customers, and piloting new approaches to better and differently serve our clients.
Responsibilities:

Develop a comprehensive understanding of the services and offerings within the Advisory Solutions and Purchased Services Categories (specifically IT & Digital Technologies).

Facilitate client meetings and discussions, delivering successful consulting engagements with autonomy, and as part of a consulting team.

Develop and execute project plans that meet project schedule, budget and expected value.

Respond to client requests for ad hoc data analysis, strategy determination and/or coaching.

Develop cost savings opportunity analysis and provide negotiation assistance to healthcare provider clients, as well as develop, execute, and track project plans and savings implementations, and conduct total cost modeling and scenario analysis.

Proactively identify potential issues and present viable solutions to ensure deliverables and timelines are met.

Develop and maintain familiarity with Sourcing portfolio and nuances of contracted vendors, contribute to team discussions and planning on future portfolio strategy and growth initiatives

Support the development and delivery of new Advisory Services offerings as requested
Qualifications:

Relevant degree preferred.
-
3 or more years of relevant experience in healthcare IT, IT procurement, vendor contracting, vendor management, technology implementation, hospital operations required. Prior consulting experience highly preferred.

Prior experience with application rationalization/decommissioning, cybersecurity (Third Party Risk Management, Governance, Risk, Compliance, Vulnerability Management, Security or Network Operations).

Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data, identify opportunities, develop actionable insights, and proficiently manage projects with a results-oriented mindset

Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports, legal contracts, and documents.

Experience with AI tools such as Natural Language Processing, GenAI, ChatGPT, etc.

Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $68,500.00 to $116,300.00.
