Job Description:
The Options portfolio is a critical component of HPE Compute offering as enables tailoring servers to exact workload/customer needs.
We seek a Product Manager to execute sustaining activities in the options portfolio, including launch, compatibility mapping, forecasting, list pricing, documentation, and configuration assessment, to drive growth in the datacenter and at the edge for HPE servers and solutions.
The ideal candidate should possess a general understanding of server subsystems, with an emphasis on processor, power and I/O, their technologies, and the role options play into enabling server capabilities to host diverse workloads, use cases and deployment methods.
This position will closely collaborate with various value-chain teams within HPE, with a crucial alignment with the options product management team to deliver offerings that bolster our market position.
Responsibilities:
- Integrate with options product managers and core teams, ensuring a timely market presence with a portfolio compatible with the right platforms, and manage the offering throughout its entire life cycle.
- Execute operational superiority from concept to retirement through a model that excels at forecasting and tracks business metrics to drive the success of the options portfolio, promptly responding to demand changes.
- Implement ongoing communications with key stakeholders in the evolving server and options market.
- Provide subject matter expertise for product documentation, compatibility mapping and configuration assessment.
- Understand industry dynamics and drive a competitive pricing strategy.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study.
- 4+ years of work experience in related field.
- Understanding and knowledge of server subsystems and related technologies.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong customer focus: external, channel partner and internal.
- Notable interpersonal skills: ability to engage, collaborate and influence virtual teams.
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines.
- Excellent written/oral communications and analytical skills.
- Understanding of financial concepts as gross and net revenue, contra, costs, margin and their relationship.
- Demonstrated skills in Excel.
- Comprehension of server options, their technologies and their role within a system.
