As a Compliance Analyst at Convera, you will help to promote a sound Compliance culture across the organisation by ensuring that there is an effective AML Programme that effectively mitigates the risk of onboarding customers which are outside of Convera’s risk appetite, or those that may present particular additional regulatory risk.
You will be Responsible for:
• Analyse KYC information for customers at onboarding and periodic review which require a Compliance investigation.
• Utilise strong investigative skills to assess the risk of the customer and provide a Compliance recommendation in respect of the business relationship.
• Investigate and decision potential PEP matches.
• Provide advisory and feedback to the KYC Operations teams.
• Monitor and test key KYC controls.
• Track and implement regulatory change for KYC requirements.
• Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
• Develop and deliver online and ad hoc face-to-face training for the KYC Operations team.
You should apply if you have:
• Minimum 2 years or equivalent work experience in Financial Crime, with a bachelor’s degree.
• Advanced knowledge of the global Financial Crime Compliance regulatory expectations and best practices for KYC activities.
• Advanced knowledge of onboarding corporate structures, including experience reviewing KYC on different entity types such as Private Companies, Trusts and Funds.
• An ability to resolve and advise on complex issues where analysis requires in-depth evaluation or variable factors.
• An ability to direct the application of existing principles and guides development of new policies and ideas.
• An ability to work independently with no supervision and also a willingness to work collaboratively.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
