What You Will Do

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Executive Compensation, this role plays a vital part in the design, analysis, and implementation of compensation and retirement benefit programs that support the organization's ability to attract, retain, and motivate top talent. The Compensation Analyst will focus on ensuring competitive and compliant compensation structures, with a particular emphasis on 401(k) plan administration and equity compensation. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to develop and enhance programs that align with both employee needs and business objectives.

Defined Contribution Retirement Program (401(k))

  • Oversee administration and operations of Trimble’s 401(k) plan, including audit and compliance requirements

  • Manage contribution matching, investment options, compliance monitoring, and communication efforts to drive employee participation and engagement.

  • Conduct financial modeling and analysis to evaluate the impact of 401(k) plan changes and contributions on employee retirement savings and overall compensation strategy.

  • Attend and oversee the 401k committee meetings. Manage the committee agenda topics and ensure that the committee is informed and updated on relevant 401k administration initiatives and activities

  • Manage 401k vendor and consultant relationships (i.e. recordkeeper, legal, investment advisors, etc)

Equity Compensation 

  • Work closely with leadership and the stock administration team to administer Trimble's equity programs, including grant processing, vesting schedules, and exercise procedures.

    • Lead Annual Equity Award process

    • Administer off-cycle and special grants

  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and alignment with industry standards.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies governing equity compensation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate and educate employees on equity compensation plans.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation, with previous exposure to equity, executive compensation, defined contribution retirement programs, and long-term incentives.

  • Familiarity with defined contribution retirement program administration, equity plan design, and executive compensation principles.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.

  • Advanced spreadsheet skills and experience with compensation management software.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Obtained or working towards CCP preferred.

  • Experience with Fidelity and Workday preferred.
