YOUR MISSION
As the Senior Accountant at True Anomaly, you will be a key contributor to the month end close process and the preparation of Monthly Financial Statements. This role will support the Accounting Manager in continuous process improvements and regular close procedures within NetSuite. This role will support in growing and scaling the accounting function, implementing internal controls and supporting system integration. This role will require someone who wants to dig in, design the processes, and own entries within the general ledger. We are looking for a reliable problem solver, someone who can demonstrate the ability to identify issues and develop scalable solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Support the Accounting Manager with implementing accounting policies and best practices
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance the close process, implementing new procedures to improve efficiency and reduce the close cycle time
- Support the preparation of Financial Statements
- Act as a key stakeholder in shaping the accounting team’s future by refining processes and preparing for department growth
- Support accounting in accordance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) for CAS-covered contracts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance accounting processes and systems
- Support the annual audit
- Serve as a liaison between the accounting team and other departments to provide guidance and insights on financial matters
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of experience
- CPA a plus
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with government contract accounting, FAR accounting standards, and DCAA compliance is a plus
- Previous Aerospace and Defense experience a plus
- Analytical and with exceptional problem-solving skills, high degree of ownership, and a strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Prior NetSuite experience preferred
COMPENSATION
- Base Salary: $100,000-$130,000
- Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work Location: This position will be onsite at our Gravity Works Facility, located in Centennial, CO with the potential for limited hybrid opportunities in the future.
- Work environment is in a standard office, working at a desk or in a production factory.
- Physical demands may include frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting or carrying items up to 20lbs.
