Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Communications Intern to support our internal communications strategy, employee engagement, and employee branding initiatives. This internship is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in corporate communications, content creation, mailing and web platforms, and stakeholder engagement within a fast-paced work environment. 

This role is for a minimum of six months and could last up to a year.

Your accountabilities/responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in drafting, editing, and distributing both:
    • internal communications - including newsletters, emails, intranet content, and announcements
    • employer branding content – include careers site content, blogs, social posts, and video.
  • Supporting the planning and execution of employee engagement activities, events, and campaigns.
  • Helping to manage internal communication platforms, ensuring timely and effective information sharing.
  • Working with our Creative team to develop visual content, such as, presentations, social posts, and videos, to enhance communication efforts.
  • Conducting monthly reporting and analysis for internal communications and employee branding.
  • Collaborating with HR, marketing, and other departments to align messaging and initiatives.
  • Performing other communication-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Modern Languages and Literature, or a related field is preferred.

Required skills:

  • High-level of spoken and written English.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience with social media and digital communication platforms is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and employee engagement.
