Position Overview

The Communications Analyst will lead or support programs and projects involving communications, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning for our Federal Client. This will entail proactively engaging with stakeholders to identify challenges, integrate diverse perspectives, recommend solutions, create value, and cultivate a reputation as a trusted advisor. Keys to success are understanding our Clients’ personalities, environment, guidance, and overall project scope in relation to overall mission and organization goals, then translating these complex concepts into high quality communication solutions. The successful candidate will be an independent thinker, detail oriented, and an effective communicator and time manager.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain Executive-level presentations, memorandums, Ready to Sends (RTS), reports, project management plans, strategic plans, organization charts, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), one-pagers, newsletters, job-aids, templates, checklists, and other communications products.
  • Support process documentation and improvement efforts including evaluating the current state of the Business Partner (BP) Service Level Agreement (SLA) project. Identify and prioritize areas for improvement and collaborate with project partners to develop, document, implement, and sustain new communications products. Effectively communicate project status, including risks and dependencies, to Senior Leadership.
  • Facilitate meetings, create meeting minutes, track decisions/issues/risks, and synthesize information into specific business initiatives and recommendations. Apply strong communication skills to build relationships, connect people, and support team members.
  • Develop and use performance metrics to measure, evaluate, and enhance program and project success.
  • Compose, review, edit, consolidate, and track the delivery of communication materials.
  • Perform communication analytic functions including requirements gathering and synthesis, workflow and business process analysis, change management, and program management support.
  • Prepare briefing decks to inform and influence leadership, committees, and both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage taskings from internal and external stakeholders including tracking and assignment within the tasking system.
  • Analyze incoming tasks for proper assignment and necessary response, assign tasks in the internal SharePoint system, monitor task completion progress, edit and package final responses, and archive completed tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including SharePoint
  • Positive attitude, fast learner, self-starter, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage, prioritize and complete internal recurring Communications deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the expertise to tailor content for various audiences
  • Ability to accomplish a task with little direction and guidance; also comfortable seeking advice and assistance when needed
  • Demonstrate personal accountability, urgency, and persistence in completing high-quality work products
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an adjudicated CBP Background Investigation
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active CBP BI or active clearance preferred
