The Commercial Project Manager reports to the VP, Commercial Development, to assist with the company's commercial growth of the terminal business. This position is integral to growth of the commercial business and requires expertise in business process design, stakeholder engagement, and commercial strategy. This role will focus on streamlining processes within the Terminals organization, in addition to customer relations with existing customers, onboarding new customers, and serving as the Right Angle Subject Matter. You will also assist with other terminal business such as operations, billing, and other business opportunities while acting as a bridge between terminals, business development, supply, and finance.

Responsible for designing and implementing industry best practice processes for the Terminals organization, including processes around billing, stock accounting and reconciliation, operations, customer onboarding, and relationship management.

Responsible for serving as the Right-Angle Subject Matter Expert for Terminals.

Works closely with the Commercial, Logistics, and Operations teams to identify and address customer-related issues.

Acts as a terminals business generalist by advising, troubleshooting, and resolving operational, stock accounting, and billing challenges.

Acts as focal point for customer onboarding and other account management activities, including liaison with Operations Support Team (true liaison once BIS is established).

Acts as focal point for and Subject Matter Expert for product code recipes and set-up.

Provides support to the Commercial Team by helping to identify and analyze market trends, customer behaviors, and business opportunities.

Coordinates preparation for customer quarterly and annual business reviews.

Works in coordination with FP&A to manage the escalation process.

Qualifications

Required at least 10 years, preferably 15+ years in customer-facing role in midstream or downstream energy industry.

Strong leadership and influencing skills

Strong background in the industry, including understanding of basic operations, contract knowledge, product supply chain, and accounting transaction flow

Ability to analyze and improve existing business processes

Understanding of Terminal Automation Systems

Basic financial modeling

Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau

Educational Requirements
