Job Description
As strategic business partner to both AFNA Healthcare commercial teams & Business Unit VP, this role is expected to drive delivery of the market segments growth aspirations in line with the strategic plan for the overall market segments as well as delivering EBIT expansion at the plants reporting into the BU’s. As Commercial Finance manager, you act as a valued business partner providing insightful financial analysis, applying strong business acumen to identify opportunities to drive profitable sales growth. In this manager level role you will be expected to design and implement process improvement initiatives that will solve problems with high complexity that will deliver EBIT expansion both commercially and operationally. As part of the Healthcare finance team you will also support various operational finance ad hoc initiatives.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Safety
- As a representative of the business unit senior management team you will be expected to act as a Safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their priority
Price & Contracts
- As a valued business partner, provide financial leadership to influence key account contract negotiations & pricing decisions
- Oversight and ownership of new contract impacts and implementation, ensuring robust structure and controls exist and compliance with contract terms (Contract Pricing, Rebates, Commissions)
- Provide strategic insights to the BU sales leaders enabling and delivering profitable sales growth in line with the key growth strategies of each market segment
- As subject matter expert drive contract term’s improvement through the commercial organisation by improving the working capital considerations, identifying best practice for new and existing customer relationships, and identifying opportunities to reduce DSO & DIO
- Oversight & ownership of raw material price recovery for the BU’s ensuring that all raw material volatility and other inflationary pressures are fully recovered protecting Amcor’s value-added position
- Support the Intercompany Pricing Process
Commercial Growth Support
- Support the operational cadence of the Pocket margin database (PMDB) deployment ensuring a consistent approach and adequate training is established
- Build organizational capabilities with the PMDB, Train users, providing analytical insights and improve the financial acumen of the commercial and operational teams using the PMDB tools
- Promote the BU Value plus initiative to improve profitability
- Act as business partner to the sales directors providing financial insights on key customer account reviews, segment performance, competitor insights
- Own and provide financial insights on sales drivers such volume, price, mix, track commercial growth objectives and support for SIP programs
- Support the raw material cost impact analysis and forecasting the impact on the BU’s
- As subject matter expert (SME) provide insightful leadership in recommending and implementing system solutions to provide BU leadership with information to improve commercial and business results
- Provide financial leadership and facilitate the sales budgeting process (Commercial)
- Provide market pricing methodology guidance and recommendations to pricing system design
- Provide guidance and recommendations on cost system design
- Support marketing in assessing market price exposure
- In the event of a future acquisition, own the financial analysis, financial modelling, pre and post-acquisition for the commercial aspect of any such acquisition

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance

10+ years of progressively increased responsibility in various Finance or Accounting roles

8+ years designing, developing, and establishing organizational capabilities for complex commercial activity and margin expansion

High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, must be advanced with Microsoft Excel/ PowerPoint

ERP systems experience preferred

Manufacturing experience highly preferred
