The Commercial Manager will be a key member of the leadership team and will be responsible for leading a small team of commercial finance analysts. The Commerical Manager is responsible for the financial partnership of the Sales function, through the preparation, presentation and influence of valuable analytical insights which encourage smarter, more informed decision making.
The purpose of the role is to ensure financial stewardship of the Business through engaging in cross functional commercial decisions which will ultimately impact the profitability and cash flow of the organization. The Commercial Finance Manager will develop and empower the financial analysis team to achieve financial growth and strength for Daniels Health, through lifting their engagement as well as setting the highest professional standards as a benchmark.
Responsibilities
- Promote efficiency in Commercial Finance in order to minimize time spent for report generation and increases time for analysis, commenting and insights sharing
- Measure and review the cost/benefit ratio of proposed activities
- Drive commercial and business performance culture through appropriate development, measurement and reporting of cross-functional key performance indicators.
- Central to this role is acting as a key business partner and financial expert to other functions and stakeholders. Supporting and challenging the business through effective Business Partnering in commercial finance decision making
- Challenge current methods of working to drive efficiencies and optimize profitability.
- Lead the analyst team in a manner that facilitates their engagement and professional development
- Process oversight for commercial review of customer and supplier contracts to minimize risk and maximize margin
Requirements
- You have outstanding stakeholder management skills – easily and effectively able to report financial information to finance and non-finance stakeholders
- You have strong Information systems and project management skill and high levels of integrity, honesty and excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and presenting skills with outstanding organizational skills
- Your analytical and problem solving ability are ‘second nature’. You enjoy spotting problems, issues and trends and quickly flag deviations from the strategy and business plans
- You’re calm and logical but flourish in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment; a team player prepared to roll up their sleeves.
