Main Purpose:Accountable for ensuring supply in product meets demand, through effective forecasting and stock planning. Supporting the Commercial Supply Manager in purchasing product at the lowest cost. In addition, this role shall ensure that all supply activities performed in compliance to Puma’s HSE and Control Policies and ensure that all the required administrative work is done to effect cross border movements.Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Purchase: Supporting the Commercial Supply Manager in purchasing product at the lowest cost. Active participation in regular supply optimization meeting with Supply and marketers.
- Accountable for consolidating demand and stock progression forecasts, weekly reporting for the country to ensure consolidated communication to central Market Supply team.
- Coordination of Product Scheduling: To ensure proper co-ordination/liaison with fuel suppliers to deliver quality products timely. Ensure and/or develop an efficient road/rail/vessel transport plan to ensure supply reliability at existing supply points.
- Supply and Demand Forecasting: Ensure facilitation or the demand forecasts with sales team. Accountable for sourcing demand forecasts from the in-country Sales teams, consolidating the data across channels of trade as well as considering stock progressions, and relaying the data to the centralized Supply team.
- Consolidating & submission of timely and accurate product nomination forecast. Capturing purchase orders & receipts in Navision. Coordinating stocks to third party storage facilities to ensure adequate daily allocations of volumes to Puma clients.
- Monitoring and reporting weekly sales to check if it is in line with each segment’s monthly nominations - Sales versus Nominations. Communicating with vessel operators, vessel updates and clearance of vessels. Calculating accurate stock out dates per product depending on changing variables.
- Supervision: Responsible for supervising the Supply activities. Ensures processes are executed following appropriate control standards and complying with all company policies.
- People development: Creates a positive environment that promotes and recognizes individual and team efforts. Develops the necessary skills and capabilities within the team to achieve the business goals and objectives.
Requirements:
Experience:
- Tertiary education, preferably featuring business and/or economics
- 3 years of experience in logistics or supply
- Experience in the Oil industry is a plus
- Experience with Stock management is a plus
