Job Summary
Duties include processing, programming, and tool design for CNC machine tools. Leadership and assistance to machinists is a major portion of this position. Other functions are testing and evaluating new processes and tooling
Essential Functions
- Follow all safety and personnel policies.
- Program new parts, revisions and update old programs for CNC mills and lathes.
- Assist machinists with set up, trouble shooting and complex geometry problems.
- Revise programs for part revisions and process improvements.
- Maintain CNC file system and server software.
- Assist engineers on designing components for manufacturing efficiency.
- Communicate with service vendors and coordinate service appointments when machine maintenance is required.
- Coordinate information technology requirements related to the needs of the machine shop.
- Preform safety audits in the shop monthly.
- Assign rework and walk-in jobs as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years machining experience
- Knowledge and experience using Mastercam CAM software in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Unigraphics and ProE CAD software.
Environment
- Will work in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. occasionally, requires prolonged standing, walking, stooping/bending, twisting at waist and reaching at and above the shoulders.
