The opportunity
We are now looking for a Cluster Business Controller Nordic Countries at Hitachi Energy, Grid Automation business in Vaasa (FI) or Västerås (SE).
In this role, you will act as a business partner to the cluster operations to optimize financial performance within the assigned reporting unit. You will be supporting effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to evaluate alternatives, recommend and support implementation of the most appropriate solutions.
How you´ll make an impact
- Contribute as key partner to the local and cluster execution team leads in determining and developing the execution model in alignment to the operating unit strategy.
- Translate financial position into realistic forecasts and established actions and measurable targets to enhance financial return. Manages forecasting process for local units, evaluate financial implications, build scenarios, and recommend actions.
- Responsible for monthly deliverables, including closings, and covering full financial package and related tasks to ensure reliable financial data reporting according to defined timelines
- Monitor the financial performance of the local units, provide insight and analysis to support operational decision making.
- Identifies issues and support management on action plans to drive appropriate cost structure, productivity optimization, and capital efficiency.
- Support tender risk management process related to the scope assigned to the local units.
- Support project controlling and the Project Managers in all financial and commercial matters and actively drive the performance of the projects supplied by the local unit.
- Internal controls and financial reporting.
- Communication and knowledge sharing. Facilitate best practice sharing in consistency with controlling practices within the cluster.
- Guide, motivate and develop direct/indirect subordinates.
Your background
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, Business Administration or other Finance related field.
- At least 5 years experience in Business and/or project controlling in project business environment in a leadership position.
- Good knowledge of SAP.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel - complex formula, pivots, modelling).
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Finnish and/or Swedish.
- Structured thinking and flair for numbers.
- Excellent accounting and analytical skills
- Customer and business oriented.
- Orientation on goal, proactive approach and problem-solving attitude
- Team spirit and strong commercial and communication skills.
