Cloud Engineer
Location: Hybrid (On-site and remote work available)
Job Overview:
Red River Technology is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team in supporting an IRS program. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud infrastructure in a hybrid cloud environment (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure, on-premises, SaaS) using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles. You will play a key role in migrating legacy systems, optimizing costs, and ensuring compliance with FedRAMP High and NIST 800-53 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design cloud architectures supporting IaC with cost optimization and compliance strategies.
- Develop and implement cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, scaling, and managing resources.
- Automate application deployments and updates, ensuring security policies are followed.
- Collaborate with teams to implement CI/CD practices and maintain robust documentation.
- Lead cloud migration efforts, creating playbooks, testing plans, and rollback procedures.
- Provide support in system architecture, CI/CD pipeline configuration, and system hardening.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in cloud framework design, development, and implementation.
- Proficiency with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong DevOps/DevSecOps experience, including CI/CD and automation tools (Terraform, GitLab, Ansible).
- Expertise in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and tools for monitoring, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with cloud security best practices and NIST/OWASP frameworks.
- Familiarity with container registries, Linux, Windows Server, and network configurations (IPv4, IPv6).
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management.
- Knowledge of cloud databases (relational and non-relational).
- Certifications in cloud platforms, DevOps, or related technologies are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience mentoring or training teams.
