PURPOSE

• This role is part of core cloud CoE team, who will be managing the cloud migration over 600+ apps/systems across 10 LBUs, the responsibility includes managing contractors and 10 BUs IT colleagues. This manager will be managing at least 5+ contractors and 30+ local IT colleagues in each BU.
• Drive cloud SecDevOps concepts and application deployment patterns to achieve faster to market efficiency.
• Provide DevOps and technical leadership for the design, planning, development, and delivery of critical applications on cloud-native microservices architectures that will drive optimizations and improvements in the security, agility, responsiveness, and capital efficiency of SecDevOps environment.
• Define the standard patterns for DevOps/CICD on Cloud for AWS and Azure, act as the SME for LBUs, educate and transform them into cloud native technology shops.
• Supervise the project delivery management for all the key cloud initiatives, accelerating time to market, adapting to the market and competition, maintaining system stability and reliability Improving the mean time to recovery
• Lead and manage the application deployment approach, for example, Kubernetes container deployment, mobile app deployment, web application deployment

KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES

• Act as SME of SecDevOps for 10 LBUs, educate LBU’s IT colleagues
• Lead the technical development team, selecting right technology solutions for building CICD pipelines
• Design, deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple CoE and agency DevOps environments
• Design application release lifecycle across DEV/SIT/UAT/PROD environments
• Review current 10 LBU’s application deployment / release lifecycle, identify current limitation and implement improvement where needed for increase software delivery speed.
• Drive long-term improvement in CoE and agency DevOps system availability by removing single points of failure
• Decide and implement the cloud deployment strategy, such as rolling, blue-green, A/B, Route-based deployment to ensure the smooth production migration
• Lead the Cloud BAU Team to support the application deployment and operation support.
• Ensure delivery of identified cloud projects and activities within agreed constraints of time and quality
• Lead a team of vendors and engineers who are building a state-of-the-art, cloud-based devops pipeline for application deployment
• Build strong cross-functional relationships to deliver DevOps solutions for PaaS and IaaS across the application lifecycle
• Manage and lead multi-discipling complex engagements with multiple teams.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• 7+ years of IT experience
• Relevant degree or diploma programme of study
• Advanced level software architecture and programming skills
• Critical thinking and able to drive changes
• Strong leadership experience. Proven track records in managing regional-based Front-end systems, preferably experiences in implementing IT systems/projects to support Asian countries.
• Experience with cloud technologies
• Experience delivering multi-lingual/internationalized solutions

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Experience with DevOps frameworks such as; release engineering tactics, advanced test automation, infrastructure as code, self-healing, technical debt and toil elimination and chaos engineering
• Experience working with APIs achieving automation and interoperability
• Experience with containers platforms (Docker EE or Openshift) and orchestration (Swarm, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes or AWS Elastic Kubernetes)
• Strong practical Linux- and Windows-based system administration skills in a cloud or virtualization environments
• Experience building sophisticated and highly automated infrastructure
• Experience with seamless/automated build scripts used for release management
• Solid knowledge in CI/CD, container deployment, Kubernetes system, API Gateway, Client/Server, MVC, OOP, RDBMS, automated test and Internet/Intranet environment
• Proficient in Agile development approach
• Understand latest and emerging technologies and practice, such as DevOps, Cloud, Microservice and Mobile development
• Understanding and experience with tagging
• Good command of spoken and written English
