As a Client Success Manager at Degreed, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients maximize the value of our platform. You will be responsible for understanding client business objectives and learning strategies, developing customized action plans, and driving adoption of Degreed, as well as identifying upsell opportunities and driving renewal conversations. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams, maintain client progress details in tracking applications, and proactively identify opportunities for expansion. This role requires a blend of strategic consulting, relationship management, sales, and operational efficiency to deliver an outstanding client experience.
Key Skills & Experience
- 3-5+ years of experience managing enterprise-level client relationships with a proven ability to navigate complex scope conversations.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple high-complexity projects within matrixed environments.
- Ability to drive renewal conversations, and forecast accurately.
- Ability to create and present compelling action plans based on data, metrics, and client history.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives.
- Ability to simplify and explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Experience working within the HR and L&D space is a plus, but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with enterprise clients, ensuring alignment with their business objectives and learning strategies.
- Create and execute client-specific action plans to drive adoption and maximize value from Degreed.
- Maintain account details and client progress within management and tracking applications such as Gainsight, Salesforce, and Gong.
- Provide strategic consulting, guiding clients on best practices and solutions to enhance their use of Degreed.
- Identify and act on opportunities to expand the existing client user base.
- Develop and enhance internal tools, templates, and processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Deliver concise client assessments, highlighting key accomplishments, risks, and progress to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Technical Consulting, Engagement, Content Services, Product, Engineering, and Sales—to address client needs quickly and effectively.
- Adapt and contribute to evolving responsibilities based on business needs.
- Identify key ROI factors that will lead to renewal, forecast your book of business, and drive conversations around contract renewals.
What Sets You Apart
- Deep understanding of enterprise Learning and Development functions.
- Experience leading or implementing HR programs related to performance management, skills mapping, talent acquisition, or career pathing.
- A quick learner with the ability to grasp new concepts and technology rapidly in a self-starter environment.
- Background in consulting or professional services within a learning organization.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to maximize client value.
- Experience in a sales focused Client Success org.
Compensation
We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The total pay range for this role is $65,000 - $90,000.
Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
