Regional Product Planning Manager and Regional Chief Product Specialist main tasks:

Regional Chief Product Specialist

  • Accountable for Product competitiveness, among a cross-functional team including R&D, Design, Program and Regional Product Planning.
  • Product Definition
  • Manage the upstream phase of the program to propose the Product definition
  • Guarantee the product competitiveness/attractiveness from customer viewpoint throughout development period and total life cycle
  • Optimize product or market positioning to maximize sales and market presence
  • Regional Product Managers Coordination
  • Coordinate the work and decisions of Regional Product Managers for local markets and keep consistency of the product concept across every function throughout the product life

Regional Product Planning Manager

  • Concept Creator
  • Create and realize product concept and performance target
  • Define all aspects with Cross Car Line support
  • Ignite passion of experts and lead them to our Concept realization
  • Voice Of The Customer
  • Market specialist
  • Deliver the voice of the Regional customer (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe, Oceania) to Chief Product Specialist counterpart in Japan
  • Define model strategy according to customer needs, market conditions
  • Product Competitiveness
  • Guardian of product competitiveness through the model life.
  • Conclude with related functions in Engineering, Styling, Program and Marketing to maximize the value together

Strategic skills

  • Strategic Planning: Being able to establish strategic guidelines, prioritize team work and determine relevant organization and timing to deliver the expected results.
  • Market Analysis: Using economic, financial, and industry data to accurately diagnose business strengths and weaknesses. Analysing commercial and financial data and identifying key issues, developing strategies and plans.
  • Change Management: Leading and managing organizational and operational change initiatives.

Background and Education

  • 7-10 years of experience minimum in positions linked to Product Planning / Product Marketing / Customer Journey & Experience / Customer-Oriented Engineering.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage: Automotive Engineering / Product Design / Marketing / Market Research & Customer Trends.
  • Good understanding of product development process (R&D, Manufacturing, Design, Marketing, PR)
  • Fluency in English is a must, other language(s) are an advantage.
  • Valid driving license in France

Skills:

  • Customer-centric mindset and strategic thinking.
  • Active interest and in-depth knowledge in automotive industry, mobility solutions and innovation in general.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to regularly make presentations with impact to Executives.
  • Ability to collect and analyze consumer, market and competitive data and translate it into recommendations and strategies.
  • Team and project management experience. Financial & business acumen.
  • Good skills with data analysis tools (JATO/NCBS/IHS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Powerpoint/Excel).
