We invite you to be part of our dynamic team at Four Seasons Hotel Prague as our Chief Accountant, where you’ll play a pivotal role in managing our hotel’s financial operations with precision and expertise.
What We’re Looking For:
As Chief Accountant, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the hotel’s financial activities, ensuring compliance with Czech regulations, and maintaining our reputation for financial excellence. You’ll collaborate closely with our Director of Finance and Assistant Director of Finance to guide the financial operations and help us continue to deliver the highest standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage your in-depth knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations, including VAT, payroll taxes, and fixed asset management, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Take ownership of the month-end process: from preparing financial statements to managing reconciliations and journal entries.
- Ensure the integrity of our balance sheet accounts through monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
- Coordinate and manage inventories, supplies, and operational equipment in line with corporate policies.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring a smooth process with full compliance.
- Bring your expertise in USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry) to maintain industry-leading financial practices.
What You’ll Bring:
- A degree in accounting or a related field with a strong understanding of Czech tax laws and accounting principles.
- Proven experience in accounting, with technical expertise in internal controls, financial systems, and business procedures.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software (knowledge of iScala, Opera Systems, and MS Dynamics is a plus).
- A strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a keen business sense.
- A passion for delivering high standards of work, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, luxury hotel environment.
